| Abstract: | English in the Workplace (EWP) is a section of the New South Wales Adult Migrant English Service (AMES), a government-funded organisation with a mandate to provide English courses to new migrants throughout the country. Its role is to ensure that migrant workers have adequate English to reach their potential within their workplace and understand enough of the language to become useful and productive members of the workplace.
In the following discussion, I will outline the needs analysis that was carried out for four courses in a metal factory in Sydney, Smorgon ARC. |
