| Abstract: | In recent years, the process approach to writing has assumed the status of a new orthodoxy for teachers and students. Central to this approach is the practice of asking students to produce several drafts, with comments (both verbal and written) from teachers on each, providing input for students' revision. We describe here an exploratory study of the revision behaviour of some Hong Kong tertiary students in response to teachers' written comments and conferencing (when teachers meet students on a one-to-one basis to help them improve their written texts). |
