|Abstract: ||Integrated study of Hong Kong / Pearl River Delta contaminated sediment was proposed by the HKUST Research Centre to meet the needs of environmental protection and improvement which are relevant to Hong Kong's economic development. In order to provide basic information for future studies, the environmental data of Victoria Harbour were gathered in a database and a preliminary study of Victoria Harbour contaminated sediment was conducted in August 1992.
In this report, the hydrological features and the status of environmental quality of Victoria Harbour are summarized. The preliminary results of the contaminated sediment study of Victoria Harbour are discussed and the strategies for future contaminated sediment studies are recommended.|
