| Issue Date: | May-1997 |
| Abstract: | Funded by the Hong Kong Government Industry Department, the Cyberspace Center aims to help the local software industry improve their competitiveness in world markets by making effective use of the Internet. In order to gain a better understanding of how local companies are currently using the Internet in their operations, the Cyberspace Center conducted a series of surveys on Internet use by Hong Kong's Industries.
Three surveys were conducted by fax. One focused on software manufacturers, a second focused on the entire computer industry, and a third focused on non-computer related industries. Another survey was conducted by phone to augment or verify results obtained in the faxed surveys. The results are summarized below. |
