Abstract: In this case study, we assess whether hazards released from fish farms could adversely affect adjacent seaweed beds, in particular, kelp beds. This exercise was carried out to identify potential hazards and assess risks. This assessment can be used as an example for carrying out assessments on other forms of macrophytes and marine plants. The analysis starts with the identification of the issue(s) of concern.
