| Abstract: | Microfibers of alginate encapsulating various particulate materials (e.g., nanoparticles and biological cells) can be conveniently generated with a roller-assisted microfluidic system: the microchannel controls the primary diameter of the fiber and the roller stretches to reduce its diameter over one order of magnitude down to 1 μm. |
