| Abstract: | Xtable is a prototype interactive tabular editor and formatter for the design of high-quality tables and for the exploration of tabular data from different viewpoints. It abstracts the multidimensional logical structure of a table and provides a mechanism to map an abstract table into different two-dimensional presentations. We present Xtable from four aspects: bstract model, presentational model, system structure, and user interface. We also discuss the merits and limitations of Xtable. |
