Summary Catalytic reduction is technically and economically attractive method for controlling the emission of SO<sub>2</sub> and NO<sub>x</sub>. This paper discusses the reduction of SO<sub>2</sub> and NO by CO over lanthanum oxysulfide-based catalysts.
