Summary Monochromosome transfer studies in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) provide functional evidence for the importance of multiple tumor suppressor genes (TSGs) in NPC. Critical regions on chromosomes 3p21.3, 11q13, and 11q22-23 and the known TSG, p16, were found to play an important role in the development of NPC.
